Fortnite v41.10 went live on June 25, 2026, reworking how Zero Build starts a match, adding five new Sprites tied to a two-week Gone Wild event, and shipping three weapon balance changes plus a long bug fix list. Here's everything that changed.
Zero Build gets a faster start
The Reload playlist's Zero Build mode now drops you in already equipped with a Pistol, one Small Mini Potion, and a Pocket Item. Beyond the loadout change:
- You can redeploy your Glider any time you have enough height to cover more ground.
- Unlimited stamina while your Pickaxe is out.
- Weapon damage against environmental structures has been significantly reduced.
- Elite Mongraal is now a named NPC at the Stronghold.
- The Morphite Thunder Shotgun has been unvaulted.
Map rotation is also temporarily locked: from June 25 through June 29, Elite Stronghold is the only map in the Reload rotation. Venture and Oasis rejoin the rotation alongside Elite Stronghold on Monday, June 29, at 7 AM ET.
Five new Sprites and the Gone Wild event
Battle Royale gets five new Sprites to hunt down: the Striker Sprite (gain Overdrive when you Mantle or Hurdle), Fishy Sprite (higher swim speed plus a brief movement speed boost when you take damage), Aura Sprite (gain a Shock Rock charge when you deal enough damage), Boss Sprite (boosts max HP and Shield), and the Grim Reaper Sprite (marks anyone who attacks you for a duration).
Two new consumables ship alongside them: Shock Rocks grant a temporary Shockwave effect, and Quack Snacks restore health and shield while also granting Sprite XP.
Those new Sprites are the centerpiece of Gone Wild, a two-week event running June 25 through July 9 that brings a fresh wave of unvaults, new questlines, and more ways to track down Sprites. The unvault list: Mythic Goldfish, Flare Gun, Lawless Stink Rifle, Hop Rock Dualies, Shield Bubble, Exotic Slapberry Fizz, Bush Bomb, and Big Bush Bomb.
Fishing gets a Gone Wild boost too: expect more Gold variants in week one (June 25 to July 1) and Gummy variants in week two (July 2 to 9). Healing at a Campfire levels up whichever Sprite you're carrying. Watch for two new Rift Anomalies that may pop up as the circle closes: Safe Extraction and Sprite Hunt.
Quality of life and Ranked changes
- The Sprite Mastery Pod now supports every v41.00 Sprite and variant - level a Sprite to 5 to master it and show it off on your Sprite Mastery Pod Back Bling. This update's new Sprites and variants become a Pod style starting in v41.20.
- The Sprite Mastery track has new rewards added to it.
- Daily Quests are now three per day: Eliminate 4 Players, Finish Top 20, and Extract 10 Sprites (which rewards a Portable Extractor). The fourth Daily Bonus Goal has been removed, so you can clear every Goal in a single match again.
- Mastery Mondays add two extra quests: extract 10, 15, or 20 Sprites for 1, 2, or 3 Portable Extractors, and these also count toward your Daily Bonus Goals.
- Ranked now shows in-match feedback pop-ups highlighting actions that improve your skill rating.
Weapon balance adjustments
Only three weapons got tuned this patch:
- Ranger Pistol: slightly increased spread while aiming down sights or mid-magazine, and slightly less damage at long range.
- Maven Auto Shotgun: increased minimum pellet count per hit, plus a slightly faster fire rate.
- Extending Focus Shotgun: increased pellet coverage, more damage, a faster reload, and a faster equip time.
Bug fixes
Battle Royale and Zero Build: the Health/Shield bar no longer shows 82 when you're topped up, Nintendo Switch 2 controller input is fixed in the Lobby, you won't get stuck in a skydiving animation after landing, First Match Loss Protection now applies consistently in Ranked, inventory and Build Mode access is fixed for affected players, the Emote Wheel no longer needs multiple presses to close, using a Launch Pad right after a Glider redeploy no longer locks you into gliding, Ascenders no longer throw you off or deal fall damage when you deploy your Glider mid-use, Level 5 Dream Sprites correctly drop Legendary loot again, Fire Sprites trigger consistently on airborne or splash-damaged targets, King Sprite's Pickaxe damage against players and the environment has been reduced, upper-body twisting during Pickaxe swings while walking is fixed, camera-follow while aiming or shooting on Wonkeeland's Grind Rails is fixed, two hidden chests west of Wonkeeland are now accessible, Chaos Exploder Rifle shots no longer get blocked by an invisible barrier near Particle Accelerator areas, the fish-eating animation can now be cancelled, a GameChat-closing hitch on Switch 2 is fixed, and Skydive Leader is back in split screen.
