Fortnite Reload Maps

The Fortnite Reload map is not one island but a rotating pool of compact maps built for the fast, respawn-heavy Reload mode. This page maps all 7 Reload islands, from Venture, the original Reload map, to newer arrivals like Squid Grounds, Surf City, and Elite Stronghold. Pan and zoom each island below to see every named location.

What is the Fortnite Reload map?

Fortnite Reload is a smaller, faster take on Battle Royale that launched in 2024. Matches drop fewer players onto a compact island, and eliminated players can be brought back into the round, so fights are quick, respawn-heavy, and relentless. Because the island is small, Reload maps are dense: named drops sit close together and almost every one is a mash-up of a location players already know.

That is why there is no single Reload map. Instead there is a pool of Reload islands, each with its own theme and named locations, and Epic rotates them through the mode. This page collects all of them in one place so you can study every island and its drops without waiting for it to come back around in the game.

How the Reload map rotation works

Reload maps swap in and out on a rotation rather than all being playable at once. In the live rotation, the active map changes on a short cycle, and the wider pool shifts over time as Epic vaults older islands and adds new ones. A map that is not in the current rotation is not gone for good; seasonal maps like the Halloween island tend to return when their season comes back around.

Rather than guess which single map is live at this exact minute, use this page as the full reference. Venture is the anchor of the pool and the map most likely to be available, while the themed islands cycle around it. Each island below is a distinct map with its own layout, so knowing all of them keeps you ready no matter which one loads.

Every Reload island is a remix

The fun of the Reload pool is that each island rebuilds a different era of Fortnite. Venture reimagines the Chapter 1 map with Tilted Towers and Retail Row, Slurp Rush leans on Chapter 2 spots like Slurpy Swamp and Steamy Stacks, and Oasis pulls the whole island into the Paradise Palms desert. Others chase a theme instead of an era: Squid Grounds recreates the Squid Game tests, Nitemare Island turns everything spooky, and Elite Stronghold freezes the map into a fortress.

For each island below you get the full label-free tile with our own markers over it, plus the complete list of named locations. Use the map to plan a landing spot and the list to jump straight to the drop you want.

Venture

Venture is the original Fortnite Reload map, a compact remix of the Chapter 1 island that launched the mode in 2024. It packs nostalgic drops like Tilted Towers, Retail Row, and a shrunken Lil' Loot Lake into a fast, respawn-friendly island. It is the Reload map most players picture first, and the one that set the tone for every map that followed.

Oasis

Oasis trades the green fields for sun-baked desert, a Reload island themed around the old Paradise Palms badlands. Dusty drops like Snobby Sands, Adobe Abodes, and Guaco Town ring a cracked-earth center. It rotates in and out of the Reload pool, so it is not always live, but it stays one of the most distinct-looking maps in the set.

Slurp Rush

Slurp Rush pulls its locations from Chapter 2, built around the blue glow of Slurpy Swamp. Steamy Stacks and its cooling towers anchor the north while Dirty Docks and Stilt Town hold the coast. Slurp is everywhere here, making it one of the most aggressive, heal-heavy Reload maps to drop into.

Squid Grounds

Squid Grounds is the Reload map from Fortnite's Squid Game crossover, a pastel arena of tests and traps. Drops like The Labyrinth, Player's Power, and Red Greens nod straight to the show's deadly games. It splits into two contrasting halves, a green side and a sandy side, joined across a tense middle.

Surf City

Surf City is Fortnite Reload gone summer, a bright coastal island wrapped in beaches and boardwalks. Divey Dam sits up north above a run of neighborhoods like Sweaty Shores, Battlewood Boulevard, and Sus Studios. Breaker Beach caps the south coast, giving hot-drop players a sandy edge to fight over.

Nitemare Island

Nitemare Island is the Halloween Reload map, a fog-soaked take on the island where the classics turn spooky. Terror Turrets, Haunted Hamlet, and the crumbling Retail Ruin replace their cheerful counterparts under a permanent night sky. It is a seasonal favorite that returns to the Reload pool around Fortnitemares.

Elite Stronghold

Elite Stronghold is the newest Reload island, a snowbound fortress built as the base of the cross-reality Elites. Frozen drops like Hostile Hold, Top Tier Training, and the glowing Elite Armory surround a central ridge of Chiseled Cubes. It is the most fortified map in the set, trading open fields for bunkers and hard cover.
